Troop 10 Eagle Scouts

Troop 10
Troop 10 of Great Neck is one of the oldest Boy Scout Troops in the United States. We were chartered by President Theodore Roosevelt in 1915. Because of our roots, we are known as The Rough Riders.

Our Members
Membership is open to all boys 11-18 years of age. We are an open and inclusive organization.

Our Goals
We strive to help boys grow into men and good citizens. We stress friendship, respect and teamwork.

Our Program
The centerpiece of our program is outdoor activities. Preparations for these trips and activities during the events are tightly linked with the Boy Scout rank advancement program.
We have one outing per month. Our activities include hiking, camping, backpacking, snow skiing, cross country skiing, fishing, snow boarding, astronomy and white water rafting.
We also attend summer camp as a unit at Onteora Scout Reservation for one week each summer.
We regularly engage in service to our community through a variety of projects.
